braithwell boxing day race – 26th December 2022

Oh –  you ate too much at Christmas did you? Ho ho ho! You can salvage the damage to your training regime, burn the calories you inhaled from the goose-fat-roasted spuds and, I daresay, shake off that hangover, by joining us on the most gentle jog of the post-Christmas festivities. You know it makes sense!

Starting at 11 a.m. on Boxing Day, it’s a 4-mile stagger across fields and along country lanes (remember, this is Boxing Day and normal people are still asleep!), starting and finishing at a pub. No frills, low cost (£5/7 entry), but that satisfying feeling of knowing you’re not the only one feeling virtuous and sick at the same time.

Entries on day only (online entries put you under too much pressure!) from 10 a.m. at the Butcher’s Arms, Braithwell. We will have a UKA permit and welcome Trail Running Association members, as they are a notoriously hardy bunch who turn out whatever the weather. Car parking in local streets and at The Ruddle Centre.

Fancy dress optional but always encouraged if you want to make the Facebook cut!
